Steadily expanding our flow
We’ve built our business around providing first-class service and supplies to the marine fuel industry. To shipping companies big and small we’ve hit home with “no detours, no delays”—our view on customer service. That’s taken us from being a small office in Aalborg, Denmark to being one of the ten largest global suppliers of bunkers in just 25 years.
Established in 1980 as a branch of Ove Wrist and Co Ltd., a company dating back to the early 1950’s providing ships’ supplies, OW Bunker was created as a strategic response to the flourishing bunkers market. Greatly encouraged by our customers to expand beyond Denmark, we opened in Greece in 1992 and haven’t looked back since. Today, with offices around the world, we provide our diverse clientele with quality products and services through our comprehensive network of traders, trusted suppliers and our own growing stores of physical supplies. As specialists in our field and in response to our customers’ business needs, risk management has also become a large part of our business.
Now that we’ve come this far, we’re not about to forget what brought us here. We always strive to provide our customers with the flexible, prompt and reliable service we’ve built our name on. Servicing a multitude of locations worldwide and with long experience in all types of bunkering operations, including ship-to-ship transfers on the high seas, we’re there for you, anytime, anywhere. Our goal for the future is to continue to expand our global reach and better our network and services as leading global independent bunker specialists.
